The Green Field Airport is designed to handle close to 2 Mppa at its opening day in 2020 with spacious accommodation and a single 3,750 Km runway, becoming the hub for the airline national carrier and looking to play a significant role on Central African aviation business.

Airport Gurus acted as ICT design responsible within the global Design Consultant Team. AG brought his extensive knowledge and successful track-record projects experience in ICT design, specification and systems integration, safety management systems and regulatory compliance undertaking the following activities:

The Airport ICT concept design phase

• Systems catalogue and specification
• Operation infrastructure design, including Data Centres, AOCC, SOC, CMC…
• Estimative budget by system, including both investment and operation costs

ICT specifications generation providing every required information to enable procurement process, through the required specification documents and budgetary estimations for more than 25 systems (operational, communications, infrastructure, security and corporate solutions).

Preliminary Design assessment for the Airport Certification stage. Supporting the customer on Safeguarding activities, and performing a specialised assessment about the Operational Requirement baseline and the current airspace arrangement.

ICT Conceptual Design for all ATC tower systems, and obtaining the engagement, approval and endorsement of the necessary stakeholders.

CNS systems safety, specification and aeronautical support, ensuring full compliance with the ATM regulatory environment, delivering specifications for all the airfield systems (navaids, met, communications, and preparing System Safety Cases preparation in coordination with the Rwandan Civil Aviation Authority (RCAA).
